Software Cost Estimation - A Practical Guide

2 Day, 7 hour Virtual Class

Class Overview:

This class is designed to give software development professionals a practical understanding of parametric software cost estimation.

This 2-day, 7 hour virtual course will cover the fundamentals of software cost estimation. It covers estimation theory and best practices. Through the use of labs and case studies attendees will walk through the practical application of industry standard estimation models. Attendees will be given estimation worksheets that they put to use immediately to help estimate and manage software development projects.

As a follow-up to the class, attendees can also sign up for 2 free hours of estimation mentoring by an experienced cost analyst (a $300 value).

Instructor:

This course will be taught by Mr. John Amacker. Mr. Amacker has successfully trained project managers and architects in North and South America, Europe, India and Asia to apply parametric estimation models. He has worked with PMO organizations from many of the world’s leading software development organizations to successfully develop and implement mature software project management processes.
