John Amacker specializes in areas of software project control and oversight with a focus on quantitative project management, software cost estimation and risk management process development. He has successfully trained project managers and architects in North and South America, Europe, India and Asia to apply parametric estimation models. He has worked with PMO organizations from many of the world’s leading software development organizations to successfully develop and implement mature software project management processes.
Mr. Amacker has over 16 years of software project management experience. As V-P for Consulting Operations for the Cost Xpert Group, Inc., Mr. Amacker oversaw all client engagements. He was the lead analyst on public sector and commercial estimation projects totaling over $2.5B. He has assisted many federal and state government agencies in improving their procurement processes through applied quantitative analysis.
| Gerrit Klaschke specializes in project management and software engineering metrics and has extensive expertise in project estimation and scheduling, modeling, software processes and risks. He has 18 years of experience as a software engineer, analyst and manager of software application development.
Mr. Klaschke worked over six years as a project manager for the Cost Xpert Group Inc., a cost estimation software tools and services company. In that capacity he led the research and development effort which resulted in the development of cutting edge estimation models and tools. Prior to Cost Xpert, he held both technical and managerial positions in America and Europe.
He completed his master's degree in applied mathematics and computer science at the University of
Applied Sciences, Giessen-Friedberg/ Germany and currently serves on the Project Management Advisory Board at SDSU College of Extended Studies. He is a member of the San Diego and Orange County PMI chapters.
